Well, I would give this zero if I could. The blackboard outside looked interesting "Home-cooked food, paninis, baked potatoes etc." The sad reality when we entered into the building was immediately obvious. Dirty, unpainted-for-generations decor fused with an apprehensive staff, obviously worried at the size of our party - three children and three adults, possibly their biggest catch yet - and the bank of three microwaves through the kitchen hatch didn't instil confidence. The waitress was hesitant but fulfilled her basic role, unwillingly. Three of us were vegetarians and vegetarian fare was advertised on the menu. However, it was obvious when the proprietor took a tenner from the till and rushed off to buy vegetarian sausages from Tescos that this wasn't going to be a gourmet meal. I ordered a tuna baked potato. The potato was mashed in the middle and soft outside (over-microwaved). The tuna fish was -well, just awful. V little mayo and tasted like the tin had sat in a fridge for many weeks. The salad was farcical and damp. Even the kids said the chips were "chewy" (under-cooked). And it was not that cheap for such utter cr-p . Avoid at all costs. I'm sure these people mean well, but let's face it, you need a modicum of skill to carry it off and they have none in any department.
